Invitation to express of interest (EOI) and notice of pre-qualification of tenderers

Contract for Renovation Works for Typical Corridors and Toilets at China Resources Building, Wanchai, Hong Kong

1. It is hereby notified that China Resources Property Limited will invite tenders for Contract of Renovation Works for Typical Corridors and Toilets at China Resources Building. Successfully listed tenderers will be invited to tender for the Contract.

2. The whole project includes the renovation to public area at typical floors of China Resources Building (CRB), including toilet and corridor and corresponding E/M works.

This tender is for the renovation works of 29 nos. of corridors and 136 nos. of toilets in the typical floors of China Resources Building.

Detail works include, but not limit to:

1) Application to the Building Customer Services Centre (BCSC), protection to the existing finishes or fittings that may be influenced by the works and also according to relevant requirements of BCSC, covering and hoarding or fencing as necessary, addition or alternation of the covering and hoarding or fencing as required, removing the temporary work/protections when necessary, keeping working area and influenced area clean without dust and odor, cleaning for T&C and inspection, etc.

2) All demolition work for the renovation related works and cart away all debris generated.

3 )Complete the renovation works to each typical corridor and each typical toilet according to the drawings and the contract requirements, including:

• all finishes and layers under finishes, features

• preparation to the under layers such as removing existing plastering and rendering for even and flat surface

• false ceilings with required or approved fixing method

• touching up to existing finishes and doors and louvres

• all associated E/M works with T&C or getting approval from government

• connection to existing E/M systems with T&C record

• metal works and hardware fittings

• lightings and luminaries

• other accessories as stated in the drawings and specifications, etc.

- Concrete spalling repair work shall be included in the contract.

4) The E/M works include but not limit to lighting and electrical works, fire services system alterations and installations, MVAC system alterations for male toilet air supply duct, etc. for Item a to Item c above, if applicable. Any E/M works (e.g. earth bonding) related to the fit-out works shall be included by the contractor.

- Cost for supply and installation of all works involved in this tender shall be included in the tender price.

3. The Contract is expected to be tendered out in 12 April 2016 and the contract commencement is anticipated to be arranged in 8 June 2016.

4. Contractors meeting the following requirements are now invited to apply for pre-qualification for tendering:-

a. Direct and local works experience as Main Contractor or Fit-out Contractor within the past 5 years, counting from the date of company establishment and undertaking similar works in hotel, shopping mall or prestigious club house. Projects reference must be submitted for reference.

b. Proven track records of satisfactory performance from previous clients in past 5 years.

c. Good site safety management systems, such as company safety policies and practices, safety training, audit report etc. Safety policy/environment policy shall be submitted.

d. Company profile, such as management structure, contact person, contact details and experience in the past 5 years in similar works including contract sum, commencement and completion date.

5. Period of Post on website: 01/04/2016 (Friday) to 11/04/2016 (Monday)

6. Date of Return of pre-qualification and EOI: on/before 11/04/2016 (Monday) 12:00 (download: Final Pre-qualification Document, EOI)

7. Document Requirements: Complete and return the EOI and Pre-qualification document with required supporting information: ONE hard copy and ONE soft copy (MS word) of the full submission. Copy of certificate(s) shall be endorsed by authorized representative.

8. Submission of application

Contractors’ application letters expressing their interest in being pre-qualified should be marked “Pre-qualification of Tenderers for Contract for Renovation Works for Typical Corridors and Toilets at China Resources Building and addressed to:

Companies failing to apply for Pre-qualification in the manner prescribed above will not be considered for the pre-qualification assessment and their name will not be put on the list of tenderers.

9. Notification of Acceptance of Qualified Tenderers will be informed in writing in due course.
