Tender Notification

Invitation to express of interest (EOI) and notice of pre-qualification of tenderers

Contract for Modernization of Lift Control and Replacement of Motor at Block A, and Modernization Work of Lift L10 & L11, Causeway Centre

 1. It is hereby notified that China Resources Property Limited will invite tenders for Contract of Modernization of Lift Control and Replacement of Motor at Block A, and Modernization Work of Lift L10 & L11, Causeway Centre.  Successfully listed tenderers will be invited to tender for the Contract. 

2. The scope of the Contract mainly comprises the following items:

2.1 Modernization of Lift Control and Replacement of Motor at Block A

Machine Room and Hoistway

a.    Supply and replace the existing controller with a new microprocessor type controller with ACVVVF system.

b.    Supply and install energy regenerative system in order to comply with the latest energy code.

c.    Supply and replace the existing driving machine with a new ACVVVF machine which shall be A.C. geared type with double-brake system.

d.    All moving parts of the motor and driving pulleys shall be properly protected by safety guard.

e.    Supply and replace hoisting ropes with new one which shall be made in Japan.

f.     Supply and install an automatic levelling device. The car shall level to within +/- 6mm of entrance level.

g.    Supply and install the existing door operating system with a new VF controlled door operating system.

h.    Supply and replace travelling cables.

i.     Supply and replace lift pit buffers.

j.   Adjust structure load with new devices mentioned above.

Lift Car Cab

          a.  Supply and replace the existing lift car operating panel to a new one with micro-movement car call buttons, red-colour dot matrix floor indicator and the colour of stainless steel faceplate must be match with existing and got client approval before commence work.

          b.  Intercom system should be replaced and installed at assigned location

2.2 Modernization Work of Lift L10 & L11 at Shopping Arcade

Machine Room and Hoistway

a.       Supply and replace the existing controller with a new microprocessor type controller with ACVVVF system.

i.        Supply and replace lift pit buffers.

j.   Adjust structure load with new devices mentioned above.

Lift Car Cab

a.       Supply and replace the existing car door panels to natural colour mirror finished grade 304 stainless steel car door panels.

b.       Supply and replace a new mechanical and infra-red 2-in-1 car door safety device.

c.       Supply and replace the existing car door sill to a new stainless steel car door sill.

d.       Supply and replace the existing car cab column to a new one with natural colour mirror finished grade 304 stainless steel.

e.       Supply and replace the existing lift car operating panel to a new one with micro-movement car call buttons, red-colour dot matrix floor indicator and natural colour mirror finished grade 304 stainless steel faceplate.

f.       Intercom system should be replaced and installed at assigned location

Lift Landing Entrances

a.       Supply and replace the existing hall call stations to a new one with micro-movement hall call buttons, red-colour dot matrix floor indicator and natural colour hairline finished grade 304 stainless steel faceplate.

b.       Supply and replace the existing landing door linkages to match with the new door operating system.

c.       Supply and replace the existing landing door panels to natural colour hairline finished grade 304 stainless steel landing door panels.

d.       Cladding of natural colour hairline finished grade 304 stainless steel on the existing landing door frames.

e.       Supply and replace the existing landing door sills to new stainless landing door sills make good for floor finishing.

Miscellaneous

     a. Submit notifications and statutory forms to Electrical and Mechanical Services Department for commencement of works and upon completion of works and for energy efficiency requirements (Including requirement of code 610 and 618), and obtain statutory approval after completion of modernization works. All relevant fees as required by the statutory authority shall be paid by the Contractor and included in the tender.

3. The Contract is expected to be tendered out in 7 March 2016 and the contract commencement is anticipated to be arranged in 4 May 2016.  Actual work should be commence around December 2016 to March 2017

4. Contractors meeting the following requirements are now invited to apply for pre-qualification for tendering:-   

a.     Direct and local works experience as Main Contractor or Fit-out Contractor within the past 5 years, counting from the date of company establishment and undertaking similar works in hotel, shopping mall or prestigious club house.  Projects reference must be submitted for reference.

b.    Proven track records of satisfactory performance from previous clients in past 5 years.

c.     Good site safety management systems, such as company safety policies and practices, safety training, audit report etc. Safety policy/environment policy shall be submitted.

d.    Company profile, such as management structure, contact person, contact details and experience in the past 5 years in similar works including contract sum, commencement and completion date.               

5. Period of Post on website: 24/02/2016 (Wednesday) to 02/03/2016 (Wednesday)

6. Date of Return of pre-qualification and EOI: on/before 02/03/2016 (Wednesday)12:00 (download: Final Pre-qualification DocumentEOI)

7. Document Requirements: Complete and return the EOI and Pre-qualification document with required supporting information: ONE hard copy and ONE soft copy (MS word) of the full submission. Copy of certificate(s) shall be endorsed by authorized representative.

8. Submission of application

Contractors’ application letters expressing their interest in being pre-qualified should be marked “Pre-qualification of Tenderers for Contract for Modernization of Lift Control and Replacement of Motor at Block A, and Modernization Work of Lift L10 & L11, Causeway Centre“ and addressed to:

Companies failing to apply for Pre-qualification in the manner prescribed above will not be considered for the pre-qualification assessment and their name will not be put on the list of tenderers.

9. Notification of Acceptance of Qualified Tenderers will be informed in writing in due course.
